Radiant Heat Lamp Set + Emitter | Appletons

Description

Our recommended choice if looking for a good quality heat lamp for rearing quail, pheasant and chicks.

Providing your newly hatched chicks with the right heat can make all the difference.
This is the best set up you can provide your newly hatched chicks/pheasants/ducklings. The quality ceramic heat bulb emits only heat (no light) so your chicks will have the warmth they need without light 24/7. This is a more natural way to raise chicks as the chicks will get a good night's sleep and a rested gut rather than feeding and being active 24/7. We have used heat emitters and reflectors to raise our broods of chicks over the years and we have found it to be very successful. The package comes will all the necessary components and instructions to assemble. We also sell the heat emitter bulbs separately as always good to have a spare at hand.

Each package includes the following:

  • quality European brand ceramic lamp holder, NZ plug, cord and switch
  • quality New Zealand made reflector
  • quality European ceramic heat emitter
  • information sheet on raising day-old chicks

Optional Hanging Chain with Snap Hook
Galvanised hanging chain and snap hook essentially for secure hanging of your heat source. Length 1.9m  The safest support for your heat package.

    It heats!

    It definitely works.
Only improvement would be if it had a dimmer switch type dial on it so you could quickly esjust the heat output.

Fantastic practical assistance for first time hatcher!

I am green when it comes to hatching eggs and I wanted to give my grandchildren the experience of raising chicks from 'get go'. (Actually an excuse for me but we will keep that one quiet).
The advice I got was second to none. The person was patient and kind and gave me every bit of advice I could hope for and then more.
And the eggs are growing blood vessels thanks to a recommendation to get a torch for candling eggs. What a fantastic piece of equipment. It was really worth the little extra money.
So 100% recommend using this provider.
