While the cost was a little hard to swallow (especially as we needed two of them for our flock ) they are great coops - we view it as an investment into the comfort and safety of our hens. The build quality is excellent and the instructions were clear and easy to follow (although we were left with a few extra parts here and there). I don't doubt that these coops will last us for many years - we've struggled with mites in a wooden coop, and we're expecting that's now going to be a thing of the past.
Our young pullets took to the coop easily and are very comfortable, while the old dears had a bit of trouble getting up the stairs initially. We have DIY'd a bit more of a ramp and added a step, and this has fixed the situation up.
Overall we would absolutely recommend the Eglu.
